Primary Work Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
The Manlift Operator will be responsible for safely operating aerial work platforms and manlift equipment according to site procedures and manufacturer guidelines. Duties include conducting basic pre-operation checks, ensuring the equipment is in suitable working condition, positioning the manlift correctly, and safely raising and lowering personnel or materials as required. Operators must maintain awareness of surrounding workers, structures, vehicles, electrical hazards, and other site conditions while operating the equipment. They should follow instructions from supervisors, use the equipment responsibly, and immediately report any mechanical problem, unsafe condition, or operational issue. Maintaining proper safety practices throughout the working shift is an essential part of the role.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants should have practical experience operating manlift or aerial work platform equipment and must possess a valid IPAF Card. Candidates should understand basic equipment controls, safe operating procedures, workplace hazards, and the importance of maintaining a safe distance from obstacles and other personnel.
