Overview of the Role
Globaltech Contracting Company is urgently recruiting experienced inspection professionals for a shutdown project in Jubail, Saudi Arabia under SABIC operations. This requirement focuses on Mechanical, Welding & Piping, and Electrical & Instrument inspection roles, which are critical for ensuring quality, safety, and compliance during industrial shutdown activities. Inspectors play a key role in verifying that all construction, maintenance, and fabrication work meets international standards and project specifications. Due to the high-risk nature of shutdown operations in petrochemical environments, only qualified and experienced candidates will be considered for these positions.
Key Responsibilities and Work Scope
Mechanical Inspectors will be responsible for checking mechanical equipment, ensuring proper installation, alignment, and maintenance compliance during shutdown activities. Welding & Piping Inspectors will monitor welding operations, verify weld quality, and ensure piping systems are installed according to approved drawings and safety standards. Electrical & Instrument Inspectors will inspect electrical systems, instrumentation devices, and control panels to ensure proper functionality and compliance with SABIC requirements. All inspectors must prepare detailed reports, conduct site inspections, and coordinate with engineering teams to ensure that all work is completed according to technical and safety standards.
Skills, Experience, and Required Knowledge
Candidates must have prior experience in industrial inspection roles within oil, gas, or petrochemical shutdown projects. Strong knowledge of industry codes, inspection procedures, and quality assurance standards is essential. Mechanical Inspectors should understand rotating and static equipment inspection processes. Welding Inspectors must be familiar with NDT methods and welding standards. Electrical & Instrument Inspectors should have strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control devices. Candidates must be detail-oriented, disciplined, and capable of working under pressure in shutdown environments.
