This role is vital for ensuring a safe and compliant working environment across the construction site. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, monitoring daily site activities, and ensuring that all operations are carried out according to approved health and safety standards. The position requires a proactive approach to risk control and strong coordination with site teams to prevent accidents and maintain smooth project operations.
Key Responsibilities and Job Duties
The Safety Officer will regularly inspect the site to identify hazards and ensure that corrective measures are implemented immediately. The role includes conducting safety inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings to ensure workers are fully aware of safety procedures and site risks.
The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and maintaining strict compliance with company safety policies. In case of any incident or unsafe condition, the Safety Officer must investigate the issue, prepare reports, and coordinate with supervisors and management for corrective action. Maintaining continuous safety monitoring and promoting a safety-first culture are key responsibilities of this position.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Applicants must have previous experience as a Safety Officer in construction or industrial projects, preferably within Saudi Arabia. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards is essential for this role. Good communication skills in English are required, along with the ability to work with multicultural teams.
