The Work Permit Receiver ensures that all permits are properly issued, checked, and followed before any task begins. Fire Watch personnel are assigned to monitor hot work activities such as welding and cutting to prevent fire risks. Standby Men play a crucial role in supporting confined space operations and emergency response situations. Together, these roles form a strong safety system that helps industries maintain compliance with safety laws while ensuring smooth project execution during shutdown periods.
Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of these roles include maintaining strict safety control over all shutdown activities and ensuring compliance with approved permits. Safety Officers conduct regular inspections, identify risks, and implement corrective actions on-site. Work Permit Receivers verify documentation, coordinate with supervisors, and ensure all permits are valid before work begins. Fire Watch personnel continuously monitor hot work zones, ensuring fire extinguishers and emergency equipment are ready for immediate use.
