Meanwhile, the WPR handles permit control and documentation tasks, ensuring that every activity is properly authorized before execution. Both roles are essential for preventing accidents, maintaining discipline on-site, and ensuring smooth workflow coordination between different teams working in the project area.
⚙️ Work Duties and Site Responsibilities
The Safety Officer will actively monitor site activities, conduct regular inspections, and ensure that all workers follow safety procedures without exception. They are expected to identify risks, report unsafe conditions, and provide immediate corrective instructions when necessary. In addition, they will assist in emergency response planning and ensure proper use of protective equipment across all work areas.
The WPR will be responsible for managing all work permits and ensuring that documentation is properly handled before any task begins. This includes maintaining digital and physical records using Excel and Word files, coordinating with supervisors, and ensuring compliance with permit-to-work systems. Both roles require strong attention to detail and continuous communication with site management to maintain operational safety and efficiency.
🧠 Required Experience and Professional Skills
Candidates applying for the Safety Officer position must have at least 3 years of experience in industrial safety roles, along with valid OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent certification. Strong knowledge of hazard control, site inspections, and safety compliance procedures is essential.
For the WPR position, candidates must be skilled in document handling and computer applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience in permit management and site coordination is required, along with a minimum of 3 years in similar industrial roles. Both positions demand good communication skills, discipline, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
