Work Permit Receiver (WPR) – Urgent Requirement
Description
The Work Permit Receiver (WPR) plays a critical role in maintaining safe and controlled operations at industrial and construction sites. This position ensures that all work activities are properly authorized through valid permits, in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. In high-risk environments like oil, gas, and industrial projects in Saudi Arabia, the WPR acts as a key communication link between the site execution team and the permit issuing authority. Their responsibility is to ensure that no work begins without proper documentation, safety clearance, and approval.
In the current requirement by DFC CON Contracting, experienced WPR professionals with valid SATORP authorization are urgently needed for project operations in Jubail. This role is essential for maintaining operational discipline, preventing safety violations, and ensuring smooth workflow between different departments. The position directly supports project safety goals and helps avoid delays caused by permit-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
The Work Permit Receiver is responsible for receiving, verifying, and managing all work permits before any job activity begins on-site. The individual must coordinate with the issuing authority to ensure all required approvals are obtained and that job conditions are clearly understood by the workforce. They must confirm that all safety measures, risk assessments, and isolation requirements are in place before starting any task.
Additionally, the WPR must communicate effectively with supervisors, safety officers, and site engineers to ensure that the permit conditions are strictly followed. They are also responsible for monitoring ongoing work to ensure compliance and stopping any activity that violates permit conditions. Proper documentation, reporting, and timely renewal or closure of permits are also part of their daily duties.
Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must have strong knowledge of industrial safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and site hazard identification. Experience in oil & gas or large-scale construction projects is highly preferred. A valid SATORP authorization is mandatory for this position, along with practical experience in handling work permits in a high-risk environment.
Good communication skills are essential, as the role requires coordination with multiple departments and teams. The candidate should also be familiar with Ajeer Chamber registration requirements and basic documentation procedures, including Mouqeem validity of at least 3 months. Attention to detail, responsibility, and the ability to work under strict safety rules are highly valued in this role.
