Millwright Fitter – Piping Foreman – Safety officer – Quality Control
Description
The QC Inspector Welding position plays a highly important role in large industrial and construction projects across Saudi Arabia, especially in ARAMCO-approved environments where quality standards are extremely strict. A Welding QC Inspector is responsible for monitoring welding activities, checking procedures, inspecting materials, and ensuring that all welding work follows international codes and project specifications. This role directly supports the safety, durability, and long-term performance of industrial facilities, pipelines, steel structures, and plant equipment. Companies involved in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, and infrastructure projects depend heavily on experienced QC professionals to maintain operational excellence and avoid costly failures during project execution.
In Saudi Arabia, ARAMCO projects require qualified inspectors who can handle technical inspections professionally while maintaining accurate records and reporting systems. The position demands strong coordination between engineers, supervisors, welders, and project management teams to ensure that all work is completed according to approved standards. QC Inspectors are considered one of the most valuable technical resources on-site because they help maintain quality assurance throughout every phase of the project. Experienced candidates with ARAMCO approval and Gulf experience are usually preferred for such projects due to their understanding of industrial safety procedures and inspection requirements.
Key Responsibilities
A QC Inspector Welding is mainly responsible for inspecting welding activities before, during, and after execution. The inspector checks welding joints, verifies welding procedures, reviews WPS documents, and ensures that welders are qualified according to project requirements. Daily duties include monitoring fabrication work, conducting visual inspections, preparing quality reports, and coordinating with third-party inspection teams whenever required. The role also involves identifying defects, reporting non-conformance issues, and ensuring corrective actions are properly implemented on-site.
The inspector must maintain complete documentation related to welding quality, including inspection reports, material traceability records, test reports, and calibration certificates. Coordination with construction teams and safety departments is also an important part of the job because quality and safety must work together during industrial activities. On ARAMCO projects, inspectors are expected to follow strict quality systems and maintain professional communication with clients and management teams. Attention to detail, technical knowledge, and the ability to handle pressure are essential for successful project completion.
Skills and Knowledge
To perform successfully in this role, candidates should have strong knowledge of welding inspection standards, industrial construction methods, and ARAMCO quality requirements. Familiarity with international codes such as AWS, ASME, and API is highly beneficial for inspection activities. Candidates with previous experience in oil and gas projects usually have an advantage because they understand site operations, documentation systems, and inspection procedures required in large-scale industrial environments. Good communication skills and basic English proficiency are also necessary for preparing reports and coordinating with multinational teams.
Applicants are generally expected to possess relevant certifications and technical qualifications. ARAMCO-approved inspectors are highly preferred for these opportunities. Strong problem-solving skills, observation abilities, and professional discipline are important for maintaining quality standards on-site. Candidates who can work under pressure, manage inspection schedules, and maintain proper records are considered valuable assets for contractors and project management teams across Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector.
