Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of a Rigger III is to assist in lifting operations by preparing, inspecting, and securing loads before any crane movement. They must ensure that all lifting gears such as slings, shackles, hooks, and chains are in proper working condition and meet safety standards. Riggers coordinate closely with crane operators and signalmen to ensure accurate communication during lifting activities. They are also responsible for selecting the correct rigging method based on load weight, shape, and lifting conditions. During operations, they guide loads carefully to avoid imbalance or damage and ensure safe placement at designated locations. Another key duty is maintaining strict compliance with safety procedures, including site regulations, toolbox meetings, and hazard identification practices. Reporting damaged equipment or unsafe conditions immediately is also part of their responsibility to maintain a safe working environment.
