Description
The role of a Rigger III is highly important in industrial construction and oil & gas projects, especially in large-scale developments such as Jafurah. This position involves handling lifting operations, moving heavy equipment, and ensuring that all rigging activities are performed safely and accurately. The job requires strict compliance with Aramco safety procedures, as rigging work is considered one of the most critical and high-risk activities on site. The purpose of this role is to support smooth construction operations by ensuring that materials and equipment are lifted, shifted, and positioned correctly without causing any damage or safety hazards.
Key Responsibilities
The selected Rigger III will be responsible for preparing and inspecting rigging equipment before any lifting operation begins. They must ensure that all slings, chains, hooks, and lifting tools are in proper working condition. The candidate will also be required to assist in lifting heavy materials, guiding crane operators, and ensuring safe placement of loads at designated locations. Proper communication with supervisors and crane operators is essential to avoid any workplace incidents. In addition, maintaining safety standards, reporting hazards, and following lifting plans are key duties of this role.
Skills and Knowledge
Applicants must have strong practical experience in rigging activities within industrial or oil and gas environments. Aramco approval is mandatory for this position, along with good knowledge of lifting procedures and safety regulations. Candidates should be physically fit, alert, and capable of working in high-pressure site conditions. Familiarity with different rigging tools, signaling methods, and load calculations will be an added advantage. Basic communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately are also required for this role.
