Scaffolding Supervisor • Scaffolding Supervisor • Work Permit Receiver (WPR)

Description

The Scaffolding Supervisor and Work Permit Receiver roles play a critical part in ensuring safe working environments within construction and industrial project sites. Scaffolding Supervisors are responsible for overseeing the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures while maintaining strict adherence to Aramco safety standards. The Work Permit Receiver ensures that all hazardous activities are properly authorized before work begins, coordinating between site management and operational teams. These roles are essential in preventing accidents, maintaining compliance, and supporting efficient workflow in high-risk environments such as oil refineries, petrochemical plants, and large construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Scaffolding Supervisors are required to inspect scaffolding structures regularly, ensure correct installation procedures, and supervise scaffolders to maintain safety compliance at all times. They must coordinate with engineers and safety officers to ensure that all work is performed according to approved drawings and industry standards. Work Permit Receivers are responsible for obtaining, verifying, and managing work permits for all site activities, ensuring that safety precautions are in place before any task begins. They also communicate with different departments to confirm risk assessments, isolation requirements, and job readiness. Both roles demand strict attention to detail, discipline, and the ability to manage site operations efficiently under pressure.

Skills and Knowledge

Candidates must possess strong knowledge of industrial safety regulations, particularly Aramco-approved procedures for scaffolding and permit-to-work systems. Scaffolding Supervisors should have hands-on experience in structural scaffolding systems, load calculations, and hazard identification. Work Permit Receivers must understand permit documentation, safety isolation procedures, and coordination with multiple site departments. Good communication skills, leadership ability, and practical site experience are essential. Applicants should hold valid approvals, experience certificates, and relevant certifications, along with familiarity in handling large-scale industrial projects in Saudi Arabia or similar environments.
